Freshwater Village Update: Dining, Medical, and Woolworths Precincts Rapidly Advancing

End of April - Freshwater Village site

New structures are now clearly visible on site, providing a real sense of the scale and vision for the development. It’s exciting to see Freshwater Village continuing to take shape, and we hope the community shares in that excitement as progress continues.

Here’s what’s been happening on site:

• Brays Road upgrade – Unfortunately, the temporary pavement on the northern side has not performed as anticipated. See Civil has committed to undertaking daily inspections and repairs of potholes to maintain safe conditions for the community. In addition, See Civil is working closely with its asphalt supplier to install an additional asphalt layer across both trafficked lanes as soon as possible to further address the issue. Preparations are also underway to relocate the water main beneath the existing road pavement. There will be no interruption to water services during these works.

• Dining precinct structure – Structural steel erection for the dining precinct is now complete, and the shape of Freshwater Village is becoming increasingly visible on site.

• Medical Centre precinct – Ground floor blockwork is substantially complete. The lower-level concrete floor slab has now been poured, with installation of the upper floor structure scheduled to commence later this month.

• Woolworths – Structural steel over the entry foyer has been completed, and the majority of the front-of-house floor slab has now been poured. Underground services are nearing completion, allowing the remaining floor slab works to progress.
