Freshwater Village Project Update

Construction activity at Freshwater Village continued to gain momentum throughout May 2026, with significant progress achieved across all areas despite persistent wet weather conditions.
The roadworks on Brays Road has been heavily impacted by the wet weather, resulting in severe potholing. See Civil has laid an asphalt layer to avoid any emergency repair works that has regretfully caused congestion to motorists.
The installation of a new water main has progressed well, with the eastern end of the pipework now complete. In preparation for laying water main pipework to the western end, NBN has completed the relocation of its services in this area.
The month saw significant advancements in the village's construction, including roofing, concrete, structural steel, framing, building services, and civil infrastructure works. A key milestone was the substantial progression of the Woolworths roof installation, including roof sheeting, insulation, flashings, gutters, and loading dock roofing elements. The installation of hydraulic, fire, electrical, communications, refrigeration, and mechanical services in the Woolworths building progressed significantly.
Concrete works remained a primary focus, with multiple slab pours completed across the development, including the Woolworths mezzanine, stairs, and loading dock areas. Polished concrete finishing works also progressed with testing, curing, and quality assurance activities.
Structural framing and formwork activities continued throughout the Medical Centre and dining precinct. Drainage, trenching, blockwork, and civil infrastructure works also advanced where site conditions permitted.
Looking Ahead
Construction priorities for June 2026 include:
Completion and live connection of the new water main on Brays Rd

The project remains on track, with strong collaboration between the Wattle Run, Tomkins, the consultant team, subcontractors, and the project delivery team.
